Cats in folk tales and folklore from all over the world. Cunning and clever, worshipped and feared, thought to bring good luck or even great harm, cats have fascinated humans for millennia. Tame, with a hint of wild, cat tales ? humorous, scary, haunting, uplifting ? prowl the pages of this book. This book explores cats in folk tales and folklore from around the world – from Egypt’s regal Bastet to Celtic and Nordic mythical felines, via Japan, Persia and elsewhere.
